Youth Camps for ages 4-12
"Disney Princess Dance Camp" for ages 4-8
June 18-22, half-day: 9am to 12noon, $150 for the week.
July 9-13, full-day: 9am-3pm $250 for the week, or
half-day: 9-11:30am or 12:30-3pm, $125 for the week
This sweet dance camp will teach your princess ballet, jazz & lyrical movements and dances, to be performed at a sweet show for family and friends on Friday. Fun dancing and crafting. Girls should wear dance class attire (leotard, tights and ballet slippers), and are encouraged to bring their favorite princess costume for daily dress-up to dance time.
"American Girl Dance Camp" for ages 6-12
June 25-29, full-day: 9am-3pm $250 for the week, or
half-day: 9-11:30am or 12:30-3pm, $125 for the week
This delightful dance camp will follow the stories of our favorite American Girls as they learn ballet, jazz & lyrical movements and choreography. They will show off their dances for family and friend in a sweet show on Friday. Girls should wear dance attire (leotard, tights and ballet slippers), and are encouraged to bring their favorite doll daily. Fun dancing and crafting. :-)
Intensives for ages 8-18
2-week Ballet Intensive
Intermediate/Advanced: June 4-15, 9am-3pm, $590 for the 2-week session
Beginner/Intermediate: July 16-27, 9am-3pm, $590 for the 2-week session
For more serious dancers, ALL STARS offers the 2-week Ballet Summer Intensives which provide a concentrated amount of hours to really dedicate themselves to technique and performance. The summer intensives will conclude with a performance/demonstration by the dancers for their parents and guests.
Full-day intensives run 9-3pm. That gives them 50 hours of instruction per week (that's the equivalent of 12 months training). The growth of the dancer is astonishing.
ALL STARS ballet students training is such that they have been accepted in other outstanding summer programs such as Bolshoi Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Kelsey Kirkland, Ballet Austin, Orlando Ballet, The Ailey School, Nashville Ballet, Orlando Ballet. Instructor: Christina Martin
1-week Horton Style Contemporary Intensive for Intermediate/Advanced
July 23-27, 9am-3pm, $250 for the week
Horton Style Intensive, with Ms. Jennifer Davis (Professional Ballerina & Artistic Director City Gate Dance Theatre)
The Horton technique is a method of dance training developed by American modern dancer and choreographer Lester Horton. "I am sincerely trying now to create a dance technique based entirely upon corrective exercises, created with a knowledge of human anatomy; a technique which will correct physical faults and prepare a dancer for any type of dancing he may wish to follow; a technique having all the basic movements which govern the actions of the body; combined with a knowledge of the origin of movement and a sense of artistic design" -Lester Horton. Dancers must wear leotard and tights.
Workshops for ages 8-18
1-week Hip Hop Dance Video Workshop
June 18-22, 9am-3pm, $250 for the week
Fun workshop to learn the moves and formations of a great hip hop crew, and shoot a video to post on social media for all to watch. Loads of fun, lots of work, lots of pride. Dancers must wear sneakers and comfortable clothes they can really move in.
1-week Musical Theater Camp
June 25-29, 9am-3pm, $250 for the week
Love Broadway Shows? Wish you were in them? We'll visit 2-3 musical shows, and learn the acting thru dancing from our favorite dance scene from each. Then get out of your shell, learn how to bring a character to life, and show it all off to friends and family at the in-house mini show on Friday. NO Audition Required. Campers should dress comfortably-- dance attire is preferred.
1-week Mixed Styles Dance Camp: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Turns & Leaps, Dance Conditioning
July 16-20, 9am-3pm, $250 for the week
You want it all? We've gotcha! 25 hours of high intensity training in your favorites: Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Also, work on those turns and leaps, and get into shape-- dancers bodies require more than a regular gym workout-- learn what it takes to be dance conditioned and have endurance. Dancers should wear dance attire (tights, leotard), and will need sneakers, and jazz shoes.
1-week Tap Workshop
Beginner: 9am-12noon, $150 for the week
Intermediate/Advanced: 1-3pm, $100 for the week
Tap is BACK! It's fun and it's not as hard as it seems. :-) Dancers must have tap shoes. No other uniform is required for this workshop.
1-week "Star Skills" Workshop
June 18-22, 1-3pm, $80 for the week
For the dancer who wants more that just a dance class and a show. This workshop includes how to prepare for an audition, how to be an assistant teacher, choreography basics, and proper hair and make-up for class and stage. Dancers will need a notebook, pen/pencil, folder, bobby pins, hairspray, and make-up. A complete list will be sent a week prior to start date.
