ALL STARS NHSDA Chapter Board Member Descriptions

 

BOARD MEMBERS MUST:

• Be enrolled as a student at ALL STARS
• Be an active member of NHSDA ALL STARS Chapter
• Maintain a cumulative GPA no lower than 3.0  ( a 3.2 minimum is required for induction, and once inducted must maintain that 3.2+ GPA
• Remain in good standing with NHSDA board and ALL STARS teachers and director

 

President Position:
• The President shall preside over all chapter meetings
• Serve  as the official representative of the chapter
• Work with the Vice President to establish and adhere to a yearly budget
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations 
• Ability to meet deadlines.
 

Vice President Position:
• The Vice President shall serve as the chapter’s program chair
• In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall preside over chapter meetings
• Work with the President to establish and adhere to a yearly budget
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations 
• Ability to meet deadlines. 

 

Treasurer Position:
• Help set the year’s budget and help raise money for chapter-specific causes
• Collect dues
• Prepare the club’s budget, present it to the board for approval and ensure that club activities adhere to the budget
• Maintain accurate financial records throughout the year, to be reviewed at any time by members, other officers, or administration
• Maintain checking account, make deposits and withdrawals, and maintain clean records of all bank transactions made
• Pay for/reimburse members via club's disbursement voucher form
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations  
• Ability to meet deadlines.

 

Secretary Position:
• The Secretary shall keep minutes for each meeting and send those minutes via email to chapter members in a timely manner
• Shall record all business discussed at Board Meetings
• Shall file records of the chapter in NHSDA Binder
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations 
• Ability to meet deadlines.
 

Social Media Chair Position:
The Social Media Chair serves as the administrator for all social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok).
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attending regular board meetings
• Attending as needed sub-committee meetings
• Responsible for taking pictures, maintaining a chapter scrapbook, and documenting the chapter’s activities and yearly history.
• Managing social media platforms &  increasing following across all social media platforms
• Overseeing any NHSDA & ALL STARS  events on social media
• Innovating previous social media techniques to engage audiences further
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations
• Ability to meet deadlines.
 

Task Committee Head Position:
The Task Committee Head serves as administrator for all small task sub-committees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Attend regular board meetings
• Recruit members for sub-committees
• Be communication liaison between board and sub-committee heads
• Attend as needed sub-committee meetings
• Manage progress of sub-committees
• Report status and results of sub-committees to the board
• Ability to be flexible and work well in groups and collaborations 
• Ability to meet deadlines.
